Buy Call Of Duty 5 World At War for Xbox 360 - Special Review For Gamers
Buy Call of Duty 5 World At War for Xbox 360 - Special Video Review for all Gamers is now out. I know that there will be thousands of gamers out there right now losing sleep waiting to buy Call of Duty 5 World At War for Xbox 360 on the UK release date of Friday, November 14th.
O.K. so here's a mini review for you on Call of Duty 5 World at War for Xbox 360 particularly as anticipation is mounting as the release gets nearer here in the UK. It will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you buy it.
Having played the Beta version since its release a few weeks ago I can only say one word - fantastic!
I think that it's every bit as good as COD4 and even improves on it in many areas.
To many people's surprise and initially to my disappointment, it takes you back to World War II and allows you to fight in two different campaigns, one against the Japanese army in the Pacific and in the second helping to liberate Berlin as part of ther Soviet Red Army. I loved the modern warfare aspect of COD4 and was looking forward to something along similar lines but I have to say that once you start playing Call of Duty 5 World at War you will love it.
The graphics are once again stunning with wood that splinters realistically when shot and fires that spread organically and the sound, which is awesome, changes even more dramatically, for example when you run from one type of surface to another.
There are 10 prestiges and the levels on each go up to 65.
As for perks, the old favourites are retained from COD4 including juggernaught, stopping power, deep impact, rocket launcher and 3 special grenades, steady aim as well as an equivalent of last stand (Last Chance).New perks include bringing in dogs in place of a heli and you can also revive your downed friends (in last chance). Sleight of hand makes a return as does martyrdom.
Another great addition in Call Of Duty 5 are the vehicle perks allowing you to move a turret faster, stop your guns from overheating too quickly and one perk allows you to move at a faster speed.
The game also features new infantry and vehicle-based weapons, like the potent flamethrower which brings the battlefield ablaze.
Players can complete the entire single player campaign with up to four players online or two players via split-screen (both online and offline)
Call of Duty: World at War will become another fantastic addition to the Call of Duty gaming series and will no doubt see hordes of gamers living on too little sleep and taking days off work.

"When sequels come out to awesome games often times the publisher tries to alter the game to make it seem like people are buying something "new" versus an expansion pack. This sometimes results in uncomfortable gameplay and people putting the old game in after few hours of playing the new version. This could have been the case for Call of Duty 5 World At War. However the publishers KNEW that the controls, game play, systems that were in COD4 were a huge hit...so they left the game mostly the same, just changing the era (world war II vs modern). The maps are a bit larger (more like Battlefield series) with incredible detail. The WWII maps provide plenty more places to move around in, and the drivable tanks are a ton of fun to drive. The "create a class" is similar, most of the perks from COD4 are in this game with the addition of new ones, and the ranking system is similar. The weapons are WWII era, so they aren't as advanced, but as you rank up you once again unlock better weapons. The multiplayer setup is similar with the ability to choose what type of game you enjoy most and matches you up and gets you in a game just as quickly as COD4. The single player is excellent though I haven't spent enough time on it to get a real feel, but it seems like it's well done. Overall I would sum the game up by saying it's a very COD4 like game with some improvements and set in WWII maps. Enjoy!"

"Playing the beta, i think that this game is as good as or even better than Call of Duty 4. The introduction of vehicles gives a broader way of playing the game, cant wait for the full game!"

"I am still playing the beta and i like this better than cod4. WW2 is not over for me and its more challenging with the older guns. I cant wait to play the other maps and co op too. Bring it on!"

"I have been playing the BETA for a few weeks now and this game is awsome. New feats. include vehicles! a tank at least anyway differnt weapons and maps obviously since its set towards the end of WW2 and my favourite a mix of old and new perks and kill-streak rewards. The only negative I have about this game is that its set in WW2 the modern combat aspect of CoD4 was the reason why I loved it not old and not futuristic PRESENT! When I heard it was going to be set in WW2 i was convinced not to get it then my friend sent me a code for the BETA i started playing and i loved it!im already maxed out at level 24! ( Real game will be to 65 with option of Prestiging) Some of the new perks are great they kept juggernoob in which I wasnt happy about but calling in dogs instead of a heli makes up for that and you can also revive your downed friends (if there using last stand) Try to get hold of the BETA if your unsure about it but the campaign is sure to be fun if anything like the CoD4 although it is not made by infinity ward. Have fun gaming!"
